Private aviation remains a core service for
many of the wealthiest clients. Most use it
selectively rather than for every journey,
a logistical decision weighed against
commercial airlines, depending on group size
and destination. Similarly to the 2024 Luxury
Travel Report, the expansion of new direct
commercial routes reduces reliance on private
jets for certain destinations.
the market due to their practicality and costefficiency for European itineraries. Looking
forward, a gradual increase in fleet availability
is anticipated, to meet consistently strong
client demand.
Aircraft Profile
The average charter price in 2025 shows
a significant increase versus 2024 (EUR
34,050, up from EUR 20,853). The primary
reason is a higher proportion of long-distance
private jet charters, lifting the overall average.
A secondary reason is clients wanting to
try newer, bigger and better planes. Rising
global demand and higher airport costs have
also contributed to broad inflation across the
private aviation sector. Despite these cost
increases demand remains stable among our
clients.
The five most frequently chartered aircraft
show no change from 2024.
Hawker Beechjet 400A: Usually
the most economical option and most
popular with couples. A light jet that’s very
well suited to short European routes.
However, it has a limited range and
relatively smaller cabin and baggage
compartment.
Phenom 300: A light jet with a longer
range that’s very comfortable for up to six
passengers (maximum capacity is eight
but it will be cramped), often chosen by
families or for European itineraries.
Core Motivations
Time and convenience remain the primary
reasons clients use private jets. Value lies in the
time saved and the added comfort, justifying
the higher costs compared with commercial
travel. Except for heavy jets, which are
generally absent from the Czech market, most
charters were operated by Czech companies
on Czech-based aircraft. This eliminates the
need for repositioning flights, thereby reducing
flying hours and lowering costs.
Cessna Citation XLS+: A light jet very
similar to the Phenom 300 in comfort
and range. Seats six comfortably with
two additional seats in front of the entry
door. Another strong all-round choice for
European itineraries.
Cessna Sovereign: A midsize jet that
comfortably seats eight passengers. Its
key advantage is a greater range, which
can cover any European route non-stop.
Financially not competitive for less than
four passengers, it’s simply too big.
Future Outlook
We expect private jet usage to remain stable
through 2025 - 2026. The segment has proven
resilient to higher operating costs, with time
and flexibility continuing to outweigh price
sensitivity. Prague’s private aviation market is
maturing, supported by a solid base of locally
operated entry, light and midsize jets. These
aircraft are expected to continue dominating
Bombardier Global 6000: Heavy
jet with long-range, intercontinental
flight capability and a large cabin with
configurations for overnight travel. Sleeps
up to ten passengers comfortably.
