Q: What are the key considerations when deciding if a hotel is a good choice
for you?
We love places with soul. We don’t need an Instagram-popular destination, but rather
somewhere truly unique. Then it doesn’t matter whether it’s a farmhouse tucked away in
the Spanish countryside, a boutique hotel from 1885 perched on a cliff of a small Italian
island, or a forgotten little town in Provence.
Q: Which journey or holiday moment will you never forget?
Sometimes the journey really is the destination, and we will never forget our “journey
back in time” aboard the Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express. It truly felt like stepping into
an Agatha Christie novel.
Q: What is the greatest luxury for you when traveling?
The greatest luxury is often what we lack the most. For us, that is time. We carve it out
for our family in small fragments, and when we allow ourselves to travel, we want to
experience that precious time as fully, calmly, and stress-free as possible. I believe
that’s the biggest benefit of working with Elite Voyage. It’s simply wonderful when we
can focus on our own work while someone else prepares, plans, oversees everything,
and is always just a call away.
